开始:VCALENDAR方法:发布开始:VEVENT DESCRIPTION:Near You Event - Propellair 2019\n\nEvent Type: Competition eve nt\n\nIndustry Sector: Aerospace materials and structures\n\nSpeak Details : \n\nDescription : Propellair - the most technical event organized by IMe chE NED University student chapter &ndash\; saw a total of 14 teams manufa cturing their Remote Controlled (RC) planes from scratch and competing aga inst each other. The total audience was estimated at an all-time-high of 2 00\, with more than 70 IMechE members. The event was divided in four porti ons\, namely:\n\n Opening Ceremony\n Exhibition Day\n Flight Day\ n Closing Ceremony\n\nThe participating teams tried their best to prese nt an ingenious design which was different from the other planes\, so as t o improve their chances of victory in this thrilling competition. The even t was headed by the Honorary Secretary of IMechE NED Student Chapter\, Mr. Hassan Muazzam\, under the guidance of the faculty advisor\, Dr. Tariq Ja meel. Some special mentions would include Mr. Ahmed Baig and Mr. Abdul Reh man representing Team Technical of IMechE NED University who burned the mi dnight oil in guiding every team to help make the planes soar high.\n\n\n\ n\nThe opening ceremony of Propellair&rsquo\;19 was held on 1st July\, 201 9 at the main auditorium of NED University of Engineering and Technology ( Karachi\, Pakistan). The session consisted of the formal opening of Propel lair&rsquo\;19 headed by Mr. Abdul Rehman who gave a brief overview on the event proceedings to all the participants\, faculty and the representativ es of different organizations that were sponsoring the event. The briefing was followed by a speech given by Mr. Shumail\, General Manager Sui South ern Gas Company (GM-SSGC)\, who motivated the audience as well as the part icipating teams\, and appreciated IMechE Pakistan for providing the studen t body with a platform for enhancing their skills. Furthermore\, he accent uated the importance of events like Propellair in improving the quality of the engineers produced by Pakistan.\nJuly 4 witnessed the exhibition day in which the planes designed by the teams were displayed outside the audit orium. Along with the exhibition\, the teams were tested on the basic conc epts of aerial vehicles\, aerodynamics and the practical manufacturing tec hniques of the aircrafts\, in different rounds which included an E-Test\, Viva and Presentations.\n\n\n\n\nThe day which everyone awaited\, Flight D ay\, was on 7th July. On this day the teams flew their aircrafts and perfo rmed the assigned tasks in NED University&rsquo\;s Cricket Ground. The air crafts were restricted to fly by professional licensed pilots to fulfill I MechE Standards. The flying performance was scrutinized by experienced jud ges. Seating arrangement\, food stalls and other stalls were also set up f or facilitating the spectators of the event.\n\n\n\n\nFor the closing cere mony\, Air Commodore Saqib Jadoon and Mr. Salman Siddiqui (Dy. General Man ager - Corporate Communication Dept. - SSGC) acted as the Chief Guests. Ac companying them\, the faculty advisor of IMechE NED University\, Dr. Tariq Jameel\, presented awards to the champions with a sum of PKR 50\,000 for winner and PKR 25\,000 for runner up on their astounding performances. The event was sponsored by Agha Herbonics\, Bogo Pakistan\, Hubco and Sui Sou thern Gas Company (SSGC) Limited.\n\n\n\n\nOut of the 14 participating tea ms\, the winner of Propellair`19 came out to be Team Shaheen\, whilst Team Uqaab was declared as the runner-up.
