Kevin McMullan was the Project Manager on the European Space Agency's Sentinel-5P satellite system.Launched on October 13, the satellite is part of the ESA's Copernicus programme, the world's largest single earth observation programme to date.He will give a very brief introduction to ESA then move on to the design description of a typical Low-earth Orbit satellite/ground segment using Sentinel-5 Precursor as an example. This will illustrate theESA Project Structure and Project Schedule/Challenges again using S-5p as an example, including some of the mechanical tests involved. Then move on to describe some of the unique atmospheric chemistry measurement data from S-5p in orbit that is available.他会给密苏里州的一些信息re interesting measurements from the other satellite programmes he has worked on over the years: ERS-1/2, Meteosat Second Generation (European Weather Satellite) and SMOS (Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity) Mission.
Kevin McMullen who hails from Cork leads the European Space Agency (ESA) team currently managng the Sentinel-5P satellite. Kevin has been involved in the project from its design right through to its launch into orbit.
