Dr. Robinson founded Kepler Engineering Software Ltd and developed PanMesh, advanced simulation software for the petroleum industry. He has patented the underlying technology in the US and a number of other countries. His current areas of interest are solid modelling, finite element mesh generation and creating software that embodies computational methods in a user oriented way. In 2002 he was awarded the prestigious title Parc Chartered Engineer of the Year Prize by Engineers Ireland.
Dr James Robinson is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Ireland. He graduated with 1st class honours degree in Civil Engineering from UCC in 1988, a MEngSc degree in 1990 and a PhD in numerical simulation from UCC in 1995.
