Description

The “New Bus for London” is the first bus specifically designed for London in more than 50 years and is being built by Wrightbus in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.

Strict fuel-efficiency & emissions standards were applied to the new bus’s design, resulting in a vehicle that incorporates innovative and cutting edge hybrid technology, making the “New Bus for London” the most environmentally friendly bus of its kind.

David’s lecture will detail the development of the bus from initial concepts, design and build through to start of passenger services.

Passenger services began in central London in 2012, rolling out to 4 other routes by the end of 2013.
