    Engineers Ireland will throw open its doors as part of Family Fun Day. Engineering in Action will be showcasing a number of hands on projects aiming to demonstrate real life engineering. The event will bring both students & professional engineers, from various backgrounds together to display & discuss what they do day-to-day. Interesting projects such as, A Solar Orbiter, An Autonomous Sailboat and Formula Student Race car will be on display visitors.

    For Engineers Week, Dublin Hackerspace & TOG will be holding their first bridge building competition.The aim is to build a bridge out of the materials provided.It will last 2 hours for building with 30mins for judging.Judging will be carried out by the IMechE.The winner will receive a raspberry pi!The event is open to people of all ages and skills levels (total beginners welcome).Help will be on hand during the day to get you started. This event is supported by Engineers Ireland & IMechE.
