在伊比利亚半岛集团发起的活动2011 with a small group of volunteer members set in the Madrid’s region. Since then, we have grown to extend our activities to various regions within Spain and Portugal, driving some key strategic projects as the Kilimanjaro Chair, the Formula Student Learning Experiences or the new collaboration framework with Greenpower formulas. At the same time, over the past year we managed to establish a set of Membership Interviews in Iberia, giving a local support to our members in their professional development. Now we approach the next year with the goal to continue developing more and more axis to give an added value to our Spain & Portugal members. .

To achieve all this, we rely on the extremely important collaboration of the Iberia Members and Associates, Collaborators and Volunteers as valuable supporters of our activities and interviewing processes.

The AGM is the main event of the year. It is your time to take an active part in the management of the Iberia Group and the definition of our strategy, by:

• Getting closer to other branch members and collaborators
• Reviewing the activities and work developed during the past year
• Sketching the future of the branch, activities and events by preparing the 2017-2018 plan
• Taking an active position through the election of the new Branch Committee

Your cooperation is key to maintain our local footprint and close approach to our members, develop events and actions of interest to them and the public and nurture the future of engineering. We want to thank you for this effort and your presence at the AGM would be also a perfect moment to get closer to the committee, provide your opinion and insight into how we should work and also help us define the future strategy.

This year’s AGM will take place in Bilbao, so we can also discover one of the key side projects launched this year by the Group volunteers: the Greenpower Kid’s Kit-Car project, aimed to develop the STEAM skills and competences in children aged 9-16 by creating electric racing car projects. The event venue will take place in its headquarters in the COIIB in Bilbao, and we will be able to see in firsthand the sample cars in assembly for the 9-11 Goblin & 11-16 Formula 24 teams.

In case that you cannot be physically present in the AGM but you still wish to attend, we will arrange technical means to connect via Conference Call (i.e. Skype, Webex or Hangouts system). Please contact us with your login information and will make all the technical arrangements necessary.
