The objective of the SOFE Preparation Session is to give the SOFE participants the opportunity to learn the best practices used by expert communicators on topics such as: the benefits of public speaking, how to use your voice, when to emphasise certain words, how to use your body language, how to structure your presentation, etc.

The speakers are Competent Communicators from Toastmasters International, a nonprofit educational organisation (based in Englewood, Colo.) that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders. Nowadays Toastmasters International exceeds 364,000 members in more than 16,200 clubs in 145 countries.
