Saint Eloi is the oldest aeronautical plant in Toulouse. Founded in 1920 by Emile Dewoitine, it has been involved in the production of many famous aircraft (D1, 2338, D520, Armagnac, Caravelle, etc.). It is the leading European aeronautical centre for the transformation of hard metals, including titanium (machining, forming, complex subassemblies). The site is specialised in the development, manufacture, assembly, fitting out and testing of engine pylons, and in the development and production of titanium parts for nacelles. The plant uses 5-axis machining, laser welding and high-temperature titanium forming technologies, and has a flexible assembly workshop and Lean assembly lines. Today, there are several new assembly lines and machines recently installed in the plant to accommodate the A320neo and A350 aircraft programmes.
