The Institution has a new President each May. As part of the inauguration, the incoming President presents an address. There is no prescribed subject for these and Presidents vary in what they choose for a focus, many have a strong autobiographical component, setting out what has influenced them to become engineers, but also what influenced them in their careers. Presidential addresses are published on the IMechE website. This year we are delighted to have Jon Hilton to give his address.

The maker fair will offer a range of specialist workshops and lectures for all ages. Examples of these will include Workshops & Lectures. This year the IMechE will be participating to promote the engineering profession for current and future engineers on two fronts: - Providing information on the international services offered by the IMechE. - The preparation of workshops, clubs and competitions aimed at both current and future engineers.
