Description

A presentation on the role of expert witnesses in lawsuits, arbitrations or other formal legal proceedings, particularly in technical engineering cases where expert testimony is critical. The presentation will be given by two attorneys who have tried such cases for many years and who have worked closely with experts in the full process of such a proceeding, including preliminary investigation, consultation, issuance of reports, depositions, and ultimately testimony at trial. Likewise, the presentation will focus on how expert testimony of the opposing party is analyzed, reviewed and, where appropriate, critiqued, through cross examination or otherwise.
