This talk explains why corrosion engineers are so important, not just at the beginning of a project, but throughout. It also explains how you justify your employment to your boss, through case histories on poor material selection, inadequate specifications, no testing, and lack of QA/QC.

The event is jointly organised with the Young ICorr of the Institute of Corrosion.The Institute of Corrosion is a Learned Society and Registered Charity that has been serving the corrosion science, technology and engineering community since 1959 in the fight against corrosion, which costs the UK around 4% of GNP per annum.
