Description

The renewal of the 1973 Tube Stock fleet on the Piccadilly line will see the introduction of an innovative new train design to London’s Underground. With much needed increased capacity this new generation of deep tube trains will incorporate new technologies and features not previously seen in tube train design. This presentation will highlight the performance and safety requirements which have shaped the design concept and how these unique and demanding requirements have been translated into an innovative technical solution.
