Visit to Hoylake Lifeboat Station - Sept 2015

A fantastic event was hosted by the RNLI at their Hoylake Lifeboat Station on 15th September. Members and guests were treated to a tour of the Station, a talk about how the station operates, as well as being given the opportunity to board the Shannon class boat.
The informative talk regarding the Supercat vessel, including information about the V6 engine, was made all the more exciting by learning that this engineering project and vessel development was British based and managed.
The Region was able to make a £150 donation to the RNLI, for the fantastic work that it carries out locally.
More information about the station can be found at the website http://hoylakelifeboat.org.uk/
