Dr Nick Martin gives a lecture on the workings of the Williams F1 design team, how they look at aerodynamics and how this affects their work.

Williams F1 being one of the world's leading formula 1 teams need to strive for perfection in their cars. A big part of this is in the design and consideration into the interactions each part of the car is under of which aerodynamics plays a substantial role in.

Nick then spent over 4 years working at the Williams Formula One Team in the aerodynamics department, before deciding to return to academia at Northumbria University. Nick is currently a Senior Lecturer in Aerodynamics teaching on the Mechanical and Automotive Engineering courses
