Description

Dr Phil Hackney will be giving a brief lecture on the myths
surrounding additive manufacturing and explaining how
it is used through the use of case studies
from his
experience
s
during his university teaching career.
This event will focus on the use of additive manufacturing
for engineering components in real
-
world scenarios, and
the limitations & constraints that engineers will face
when using this new technology.

Dr Phil Hackney will be giving a lecture on additive Manufacturing, often referred to as 3D printing, dispelling some of the myths surrounding additive manufacturing. He will also explain how it is used in industry to reduce development time and cost, through the use of case studies (bespoke automotive applications) and from his experiences during his career.

This event will focus on the use of additive manufacturing for engineering components in real-world scenarios, the limitations & constraints that engineers will face when using this new technology.

它还将展望未来的过程,伴侣rials and 4D Smart structures fabrication.
