Description

Teesside is playing a leading role in the UK’s ambitions in carbon capture, hydrogen production and decarbonized chemical production. With the region being the centre of UK Chemical Industry and Hydrogen production for decades. In Teesside we have the ambitions to create the world’s first Net Zero Industrial Cluster by 2040, supporting economic growth in the region and creating up to 30,000 new jobs*.

This event will bring together operators, consultants and engineers supporting the development of the Teesside Cluster projects, to discuss the opportunities and challenges in delivering the projects, that will deliver the Net Zero ambitions on Teesside.

As more projects move from concept to FEED and commercial scale, there is a need to continue the discussion, share lessons learned and identify the role of the mechanical engineer and Teesside in delivering the NetZero strategy.

This event follows the Hydrogen Summit held in February 2023 on Teesside, where the IMechE Teesside Committee is looking for the events to be open to all, in so maximising the involvement of Engineers on Teesside and the many excellent companies in the North East region in the development and delivery of these pro
