Refreshments available from 6pm, Lecture will start at 6.30pm

Prinja教授从木材plc(核)将提供一个case study to explain the Knowledge Management (KM) process that has been developed to address the challenges of the ‘skills gap’ and ‘age gap’ that the nuclear industry is facing. The talk will introduce the latest international standard “Knowledge Management Systems - Requirements” (ISO 30401) and other industry guidelines that have been issued to help address the challenge of effectively managing the corporate knowledge within the organisation and growing this to maintain class-leading competencies.

Knowledge management is not a new concept within the nuclear industry; it has existed for some time in recognisable forms such as on-the-job training, mentoring, policy and guidance documents and many more. What has changed is the emphasis and urgency associated with learning from operating experience, applying new technologies and transferring knowledge. New knowledge has to be acquired, applied to make decisions, retained to avoid risk of knowledge loss and deleted/archived when it becomes outdated or invalid to prevent mistakes.
