Mark Aston, during 28 years working for the Morgan Motor Company Mark covered most areas of the business. Working with Peter Morgan, he was directly responsible for factory management, employment and development. As Assistant Managing Director, he also managed all areas of customer service and purchasing. During the early 1990’s, Mark switched main roles to concentrate on successfully moving Morgan from National approval to European Whole Vehicle Approval. Developing and testing all areas of the car. Then taking them on to US and other markets.
After the death of Peter Morgan Mark left Morgan and formed Marque Approved Limited,which has been able to help a wide range of Companies to develop their products and meet the increasingly complicated approval requirements. Approval to Single Vehicle, Low Volume, EU and US approval for L, M, Special Purpose, N and O categories. With 20 years as chairmen of the SMMTs Specialist Car Manufacturers Group, Mark is working to improve the understanding of the effects of legislation on small manufacturers and also the manufacturers understanding of the legislation process. Currently working through several committees on the revised European Whole Vehicle directive and other important changes using 40 years' experience with small, specialist and larger manufacturers, Mark has been directly involved in formulating areas of the EU and National approval requirements.
