Professor George Aggidis- Head of Energy Engineering, Lancaster University.

Professor George Aggidis is the Head of Energy Engineering at Lancaster University. His engineering career includes academia and 25 years in industry, of which nine years abroad. George started his engineering career with the fluid machinery manufacturer Mather & Platt Ltd., Manchester, UK, as a teenager, followed by appointments in the UK and abroad including the largest UK hydro turbine manufacturer Gilbert Gilkes & Gordon Ltd. He has over 200 research papers, designs, developments and patent contributions in the field of fluid machinery and renewable energy. Developed turbines for hydropower generation projects and has physical research prototypes of fluid machinery operating successfully worldwide. He is a Fellow of the IMechE and on the Board of its Power Industries Fluid Machinery Group. George has a strong focus on engineering science applied to industry-led requirements in energy, renewable energy and fluid machinery.


The webinar is open to all but should appeal to Mechanical Design Consultants; Installing Contractors; Maintenance Engineers; Project Managers; C&I Engineers; Commissioning Engineers; Quality Engineers; Energy & Sustainability Engineers and Process Engineers will all gain a high-level understanding and appreciation of how and why steam is able to address energy and sustainability concerns, and significantly reduce CO2 to meet the challenges of tomorrow, whilst retaining today’s process and infrastructure.
