Description

The Lancaster E-Racing (LER) team consists of 18 of the most ambitious Lancaster University Engineering students working towards the Formula Student competition, which takes place at Silverstone. In 2019 the Lancaster entry became one of only two UK teams to pass scrutineering with an electric powertrain. With a larger team this year, covering a great breadth of expertise giving perhaps the best shot at winning that the Lancaster FS programme has ever seen.
From the professional management structure to the meticulous optimisations accompanying each design decision, every upgrade made this year will continue to reinforce future teams for years to come. The aim is to transform LER into a consistent performer which is environmentally and competitively sustainable. Complete redesigns of the electrical safety systems, suspension and aerodynamics package are set to transform the reliability and performance of the car and propel the team to a greener, zero-emission future.
