Transpennine Express is delivering state of the art trains under the “Nova” banner to their customers in the North of England and Scotland.The Nova family includes five car bi-mode trains from Hitachi, five car electric trains from CAF and, for those who thought that loco hauled trains were no more, new carriages from CAF to be hauled by Class 68 locomotives.Sami Ghebache will introduce us to the new fleet and discuss some of the technical challenges associated with their introduction.
