Powering the planets using sustainably sourced fuels such as hydrogen will be key to achieving ambitious decarbonisation goals. Electrochemical water splitting using electrolysers (ELs) is the most mature and promising technology for green hydrogen generation to curtail intermittency of renewables on the energy grid. The hydrogen then can be fed into fuel cells (FCs) to generate power when and where required.
