Assets need to be monitored for ensure operational effectiveness and mechanical condition.

Condition Monitoring is therefore essential to identify problems as it provides the information for steps to be taken to specifically resolve them either during operation or when they can next be shut down for maintenance..

Vibration monitoring is one of the key measurements in the condition monitoring tool box and this webinar will explore the topic

The aim of Webinar is to share experience and examples on how condition monitoring can be used to manage integrity of specific equipment and discuss how can be used widely to manage plant performance in different engineering sectors.

Professor Jyoti Sinha (University of Manchester) will cover overall philosophy on how condition monitoring can be used to manage plant performance including the following points

Improved Reliability & Maintenance can make the difference in competitiveness on a global scale.

Improvements are needed so Condition Monitoring (CM) becomes an “Integrated & Robust” part of Maintenance teamand that they understand and use the results effectively

Kenneth Burns (Wood Plc) will discuss specific examples on how it has been used in managing the performance of a Gear Pump.

This will be followed by a panel discussion where there will be an opportunity for questions to be taken from the audience

This webinar is the first of a series
