This Process Industries Division Event has been organised by the Process Industries Division Centres in the North West and Yorkshire Regions and the Aberdeen Area, part of the Process Industries Community and jointly with the Greater Manchester Areaof the North Western Region

Case studies will be discussed to detail issues seen in various applications across differing markets and the modifications required to meet the most arduous duties.
The later focus of the talk is how mechanical sealing technology can be utilised to reduce environmental impact. Correct application of mechanical sealing technology and their associated auxiliary systems can reduce energy consumption, water usage and product escape to atmosphere
