The presentation will commence with an overview of mechanical sealing technology principles for liquid sealing, covering technological advancements and challenges in their design. Case studies will be discussed to detail issues seen in various applications across differing markets and the modifications required to meet the most arduous duties.

The later focus of the talk is how mechanical sealing technology can be utilised to reduce environmental impact. Correct application of mechanical sealing technology and their associated auxiliary systems can reduce energy consumption, water usage and product escape to atmosphere
