Tokamak Energy have developed the ST40 compact spherical tokamak and have achieved a 100 million degrees Celsius plasma temperature in test runs on the machine. They are also developing high temperature superconducting magnets to improve plasma density and power in their next iteration of the spherical tokamak concept. The talk will describe the development of fusion technology with a focus on the development of the spherical tokamak concept followed by tours of the facility.
