    Please note Date Change, Now 29th Sept 2016. This talk tells the story of that space rocket, from its origins in the 1950s, until its last launch in 2005. It is based on research for Robin Brand's book of a similar name (the first ever written on the full story of the Skylark), which was published in December 2014. The book includes many photographs from Australian archives never before published.

    All-weather Lifeboat Centre - Poole
    The Shannon is the latest class of all-weather lifeboat to join the RNLI fleet designed entirely in-house by a team of RNLI engineers, the RNLI has harnessed cutting-edge technology to ensure this new lifeboat meets the demands of a 21st century rescue service. The visit consist of a tour of the manufacturing facilities of the RNLI in Poole where the Shannon Class is manufactured. NOTE: Places are limited and it is vital that you book through this website.

    AmSafe in Bridport have a rich history in the design and manufacture of nets used in many industries. Today AmSafe Bridport primarily focuses on textiles for use in the defence and aerospace industries and has made a significant contribution to the A400M equipment ship-set. Ian will give an overview of the ship-set equipment supplied by AmSafe to the A400M with a focus on the Multifunctional Curtain, which they have been working on for the last 2 years.

This presentation will deal with a brief account of the regulatory drivers and focus on the development of two technical solutions that comprise the product portfolio of Wartsila Aquarius® BWMS, developed and designed in Poole, UK.
