Many engineers have expressed a wish to become professionally registered engineers and Members of the IMechE.

This 5 hour workshop has been designed to help you complete your application form in a single day.

During the session, we will guide you through each of the five UKSPEC competence statements and the application paperwork; helping you to complete the application form in a single day.

Guidance, feedback and advice will be provided throughout the day, as you write your application.Subsequently you will receive full written feedback on your application (as long as you're not applying via MPDS), and will have the opportunity to submit your application for an interview over the following weeks.

We will also look at what to expect at the professional review interview.

You must already meet the academic and competence requirements to be able to attend this workshop.We will ask you to confirm this when you book.If you are unsure, please emailbdm@imeche.org.

What you'll be able to do at the end of this course:

  • Understand how your qualifications, career and experience map across to the requirements for IEng or CEng Registration
  • Compose Personal Competence Statements and a Development Action Plan
  • Submit an application for Membership
  • Prepare for your Professional Review Interview

The workshop is delivered across a 5 hour session, including a 45 minute lunch break.

You don’t have to be a member of the Institution to participate, so if you have a colleague/friend who would be interested in joining the Institution, please do share this information with them.
