An exciting opportunity to find out how ships and submarines are tested at model scale to measure their hydrodynamic performance in QinetiQ’s world-class facilities at Haslar. Established by Robert Edmund Froude in the 1880s following the transfer of the Admiralty Experiment Works from Torquay, Haslar has developed from a single towing tank to the range of test facilities that will be discussed during this visit.
