Want to enthuse children about engineering? Come and have a go at some fun, engaging design and make projects - create your own electric fan boats and vibrating brush monsters. A joint event with the Association of Science Education so that engineers and primary school teachers can work together to run the activity in school. Class packs of materials will be made available for attendees to conduct the activities. Spaces limited - booking essential!

Technical Visit to East Bros Timber (IET)

Technical tour of the East Brothers Timber sawmill, out of working hours East Brothers Timber was established in 1886. Come and see how the new equipment is integrated with old equipment with the help of local company Hemco Power and Control Systems. There will be a demonstration of there new sawmill equipment which includes a Paul SGL Optimising Edger that has the ability to scan and align boards to maximise value.
