The Devon and Cornwall Area committee would like to invite you to a lecture on one of the most important pieces of infrastructure in Devon and Cornwall.

The Tamar bridge is an iconic landmark in Plymouth. It connects Devon to Cornwall from the City of Plymouth to the west side of Saltash. The Bridge carries over 16 million vehicles a year with some busy weekdays see the daily toll hit 50,000. This talk will focus on how this critical piece of infrastructure is managed including it's history and construction.

David List the General manager of the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry will talk us through the bridges history as well as it's construction.

Full speaker bio;
David List is the General Manager of the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry, and has been in post for 22 years. He has a degree in civil engineering and a masters degree in business administration. David is a fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and has over 40 years of experience working as a civil engineer and manager, both in the UK and in Hong Kong.
