This free event will focus on Hitachi’s new Super Express Trains. These trains are to be introduced on the Great Western Main Line (London Paddington to Bristol and Swansea etc) and other routes commencing in 2017.

The Hitachi Super Express Train is the new generation of high speed trains which will operate on the Great Western Main Line after it is electrified, and on other inter-city routes in Britain. The trains will be assembled at a new factory in the north of England and the GW trains will be maintained at depots in Bristol, Swansea and west London. The lecture will include aspects of the design, manufacture, operation and maintenance of the trains.
