With YM activity thriving across the country and membership sprouting, there was a greater need for effective coordination and communication between the Young Members Panel and the Student Chapters.

That time, the YM panel meeting was held in Karachi where the three student chapters of NED, DSU and PNEC-NUST participated in the meeting and discussed their past progress and future prospects. All matters related to event organization, funding, participation and support from existing IMechE infrastructure were discussed and debated upon with clear guidelines given to each chapter to ensure the long-term goals of the Institute.
