GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology in collaboration with Department of Science and Technology and IT, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Pakistan organized the1st International Workshop on Functional Reverse Engineering(WRE 2018) on 12th and 13th January, 2019. WRE aimed to provide an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, scientists, practitioners and academicians to conduct workshops in Reverse Engineering. The main focus of the workshop was capacity building in the area of machine tools development. The workshop Organizing Committee had proposed the following topics for the workshop:
