The student chapter of IMechE at SMME, NUST collaborated with FSDT, Team Baja (pronounced: ba-ha) and Team Ecomotive to provide information to the students on campus regarding the automotive competitions that students of NUST, Pakistan had and will be partaking in.



These competitions included:

• Formula Student Development Team
• Team BAJA
• Team NUST Ecomotive

Formula Student Development Team:

Mr. Abdullah Mudassir from Team FSDT shed light on the Formula Student competition.He mentioned that FSDT has come to simultaneously develop 3 different projects. Out of which,ProjectAlifwas already making waves as an upcoming success.



Team BAJA:

Mr. Usama Maqsood from team Baja enlightened the students about the toil that Baja members undertake everyday to design an off-road vehicle that can withstand the harshest elements of rough terrain.



Team Ecomotive:

Dr. Samiur Rehman Shah, who is the faculty head of Team NUST Ecomotive shed light on the different competitions worldwide and the design process details. He accentuated on the mission of team Ecomotive which was to develop a cost effective, fuel-efficient vehicle and impart knowledge about the need for environmental friendly products in the field of automotive.





By dint of the event, the students got the opportunity to interact with their seniors who had previously participated in such competitions, or were geared up to go to the upcoming ones. The speakers also enlightened the students about how they could become a part of these teams, and what technical expertise they required for it.
