The Local Heats for the Design Challenge are organized by IMechE GIK Student Chapter for the first time this year, so as to provide the freshman students a platform where they can assess their designing and problem-solving skills by creating devices, which are required to perform certain tasks. This year’s Heats will be held on the 3rd of April at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME), Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) and task of this year still has to be assigned to the participating teams but it will be related to designing a certain device.
