Fiber-reinforced composite materials have been used tremendously in various engineering applications, such as medical equipment, civil infrastructure, automobiles, aircrafts, aerospace, sporting goods and consumer products etc. The advantages of using composites include high strength with light weight as well as outstanding fatigue and corrosion resistance when compared with metal alloys and concrete.
