Hong Kong is committed to achieving carbon neutral by 2050 as announced by the Hong Kong Chief Executive’s 2021 Policy Address. The Hong Kong Nuclear Society, together with the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the City University of Hong Kong and the Nuclear Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, are jointly organising a one-day forum to examine how nuclear energy can help achieve sustainable decarbonisation and carbon neutrality, how the latest nuclear technologies can help address public concerns about the increased use of nuclear power and the best practices on public engagement.The forum will be organized in a hybrid mode.
