Description
pipewo振动相关疲劳损伤过程rk constitutes a significant, but mostly overlooked, structural integrity threat to reliable, cost-effective, and safe operation of energy assets. Approximately 20 per cent* of hydrocarbon releases at offshore oil and gas facilities in the UK and Australia have been attributed to fatigue and high vibration related failures in piping. The danger posed by this tangible threat is even greater with increased pressure on operators for reduced downtime and higher yield.*(UK HSE, NOPSEMA stats)
Rajinesh Singh has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with extensive theoretical and practical experience in the energy industry including involvement in some major Australian oil and gas infrastructure projects. Raj is currently a Senior Consultant within the Vibration, Dynamics, and Noise (VDN) group in Wood. working on structural integrity of piping, static equipment, and other structures.
Following Raj's presentation, IMechE's QLD Panel chair, Alfredo Mendez, and other representatives, will speak briefly on their experiences, the membership process and the potential opportunities for young pipeliners in IMechE.
Following the presentations, attendees will have the chance to network over drinks and canapés with YPF and IMechE members and can find out more about both groups.
This is a FREE event, open to all members, so if you know someone in the industry who has not been to one of our events before, please have them sign up to our mailing list.
