Description

The 1960’s strategic argument-TSR2 (UK)versusTFX (US). Do we go with the Brits or stick with the Americans? - is the cost worth it? Are the Brits in it for the long haul?

The Aardvark (F-111) - the choice is made and the problems need to get sorted.

New technology equals new problems – do we really need to be at the sharp edge of solving them? What capability do we really have here- BIG question!!

Accepting the aircraft - TFR and Mach 2.5.
Delivering the aircraft-some non-documented dramas.

发展能力——巨大的和crew demanding!

The strategic capability and effects in the 1970’s, 80’s and 90’s. Strategic effects post-2000.
