We are pleased to announce that theAIAA Adelaide Sectionwill be hosting a presentation by Luca Parmitano titled‘Expedition 36/37 – Launch to Landing’.Luca Parmitano is a European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut and a Major in the Italian Air Force.Between May and November 2013 he spent six months on board the International Space Station as a member of the Expedition 36/37 crew, during which he conducted numerous scientific experiments from human physiology and biology to fluid physics and materials science. The night will be sure to be filled with exciting and inspiring stories, including how Luca docked three spaceships and ventured outside the ISS for two incredible spacewalks, the second of which his helmet filled with water!
The presentation is being held at6:15PM(for a6:30PMstart) on Thursday 6thOctober at the University of Adelaide. Please see the attached flyer for full details of the presentation.
