    The Australian Branch Annual Dinner will follow the 51st AGM. The Dinner will comprise a two course set menu with a choice of scotch fillet with potato cake and sautéed mushrooms or pan fried snapper fillet, creamy mash potato and peperonata for the main course. A vegetarian alternative will be available on request. The dessert will be a choice of traditional pavlova or chocolate fondant. This will be followed by tea or coffee.     The WA IMechE Panel will host the IMechE Australian Branch 51st AGM and Dinner on 26 Feb 2010 in Perth. All classes of member, from Affiliate through to Fellow, are invited and encouraged to attend. The meeting will be attended by members of the Western Australian Panel, the Australian Branch Executive, Chairpersons of other Panels within the Australian Branch and the IMechE Representative from Papua New Guinea.

    Each year, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers conducts a competition for young practising engineers and students studying Mechanical Engineering Degree Courses on campuses within Australia. The competition is specifically concerned with verbal and visual communication in describing and communicating technical subjects to non-engineers. The contestants will be judged by professionals from local industry. The winner and runner up will receive prize money.
