This years SOfE competition is coming this month and the audience (you) is required to make the event as valuable as possible.

The competition is specifically concerned with verbal and visual communication in describing and explaining technical subjects. It is also designed to promote interest in the art of communication.

What do competitors have to do?

Competitors must give an oral presentation on a subject relating to mechanical engineering. The duration of the presentation must not exceed 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for discussion and questions from a panel of judges.

The topics for the presentations are below:
“Mind Body and Machine -> Blurring the Line Between Man and Machine"

"Space travel and explaining the relevance of space travel using antimatter rocket engine."

“Modelling patellar kinematics following simulated tubercle transfers in patients following total knee arthroplasty"
