Description
The success of an engineering project is usually assessed whether it was delivered “on time, in full and on budget”. As such, it is important that projects, where justified, have suitable means of tracking performance. Proper project controls and scheduling plays a significant role throughout the project life cycle, whether it be a small residential property project or a multi-billion dollar infrastructure project.
Engineers Australia, The Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers will jointly hold its next presentation on the topic of Project Controls and Scheduling in Engineering Projects. Jeremy Clarke, from RailConnect NSW, will discuss the mechanics, benefits, challenges of planning, scheduling and controls in project environments. He will present an engineering case study showcasing a real world scenarios on how a project is affected by planning, scheduling and controls.
Jeremy is currently a Project Controls Manager at RailConnect, which is the winning consortium currently delivering a $2.3 billion New Intercity Fleet for the government. Prior to this role, he was with Bombardier Transportation and has over 20 years’ experience in Planning, Scheduling and Project Controls in railway projects.
