The influence of social media on the public, especially the youth, is undeniable. Being the 2^ndmost used social media application in Malaysia, Instagram is inevitably a powerful tool for communicating ideas and messages, apart from promotion. As such, IMechE-UTP-SC organized a series of Instagram live sessions for 4 consecutive Wednesdays, i.e., 30^thJune, 7^thJuly, 14^thJuly and 21^stJuly. Moderated by the committee members itself, this event was joined by 4 of UTP’s alumni who have achieved great heights in their careers, i.e., Mr Sunil Hasmukharay, IR M Nashriq Zulkefle, Ms Nurul Asyikin Radzuan and Mr Ameirul Azraie. All of the speakers had great insight to share on their experiences, be it as a speaker at the United Nations or the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at a large corporation. The event was successful in reaching out to the public, especially the youth in the engineering field. Based on the feedback from those who attended the live session, they learned a lot from it and felt inspired to work hard in order to pave their way to a successful career.
