An industrial visit to the Port of Colombo was arranged on 19th October 2012 jointly with the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka and was well attended by forty eight members from both bodies.The port terminal of South Asia Gateway Terminals (Pvt) Ltd., an independent operator and the engineering facilities of Colombo Dockyard Ltd, were visited after which the delegates were conducted on a tour of the new project site of Colombo South Harbour.More details on the Port of Colombo can be obtainedhere.
